Serving up some tennis excellence

CLEATOR Moor is looking forward to the opening of a new Community Tennis Centre, based at Copeland Bowls & Sports Centre thanks to joint funding from Copeland Borough Council and North Country Leisure Copeland, the charity which manages the site.

The three-court centre will be on offer to everyone in the local area, with a coach available for six hours a week until September.

An Open Day will take place on Saturday, April 24, from noon until 3pm where attendees can take part in free coaching sessions, mini competitions and free play during the afternoon. Everyone is welcome to go along and join in the fun, which includes a variety of activities as well as an opportunity to try your hand at netball sessions coordinated by a representative from England Netball. Information and advice on fitness will also be available from the Moor Active team.

Weekly tennis sessions will begin on Wednesday, April 28, running every Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday throughout the summer. The timetable will run as follows:
